NoTICE.

1 The existence of the Bank entitled, "The

President, Directors & Co, of the Bank of Ver

gennes," chartered by the Legislature of the State

of Vermont, and located in Vergennes, in said

State, was terminated, agrecably to the laws of

aid State, on the 22d day of December, 1865, and

notice is hereby given that said Bairk will redeem

its outstanding bills. The following act of the

Legislature of Vermont is published by direction

of said Bank. By order of the Directors.

An Act relating to the redemption of Bank Notes.

It is hereby enacted by the General I ssembly

of the State of Vermont:

Sec. 1. After the expiration of the charter of

any Bank chartered by this State, or after the ter-

mination of the existence of any such bank agree

ably to the laws of this State; such bank may

cause notice to be published in all the weekly

newspapers of the county where such bank is

located for one full year, setting forth that said

bank will redeem its outstanding bills, the day of

the expiration of its charter, or the date of the

termination of its existence, and a copy of thi

act. And upon due publication of such notice,

neither such bank nor its officers shall be liable to

any action for the non-redemption of any of its

outstanding bills, unless the same shall have been

duly presented and payment thereof demanded

within the year aforesaid, at the banking house of

such bank.

Sec. 2. After the expiration of the charter or

after the termination of the existence of any such

bank as aforesaid, such bank shall cease to be sub­

ject to the operation or liable to the provisions of

the sixty-third section of chapter eighty-nine of

the General Statutes.

Sec. 3. This Act shall take effect from this

passage.

the White river, is a very beautiful village. Gran-

ville lies in the sweetest valley of Vermont.

President, Directors & Co, of the Bank of Vera

gennes," chartered by the Legislature of the State

of Vermont, and located in Vergennes, in said

State, was terminated, agreeably to the laws of

said State, on the 22d day of December, 1865, and

notice is hereby given that said Bank will redeem

its outstanding bills. The following act of the

Legislature of Vermont is published by direction

of said Bank, By order of the Directors.

An Act relating to the redemption of Bank Notes.

It is hereby enacted by the General Issembly

of the State of Vermont:

See. I. After the expiration of the charter of

any Bank chartered by this State, or after the tere

mination of the existence of any such bank agree-

ably to the laws of this State; such bank may

cause notice to be published in all the weekly

newspapers of the county where such bank is

located for one full year, setting forth that said

bank will redeem its outstanding bills, the day of

the expiration of its charter, or the date of the

termination of its existence, and a copy of this

act. And upon due publication of such notice,

neither such bank nor its officers shall be liable to

any action for the non-redemption of any of its

outstanding bills, unless the same slall have been

duly presented and payment thereof demanded

within the year aforesaid, at the banking house of

such bank.

Sec. 2. Alter the expiration of the charter or

after the termination of the existence of any such

bank as aforesaid, such bank shall cease to be sub-

ject to the operation or liable to the provisions of

the sixty-third section of chapter eighty-nine of

the General Statutes.

Sec. 3. This Act shall take effect from this

passage.

. Ladies to be had, has been hired for the

season and is how kept at the

Bread LOaF InN,

for the use of guests. The best gentleman's saddle

horse in the State to match; also other saddle

horses, and a good livery. We intend always to

kep supetior sadlle horses, and thus to make

horseback riding a specialty at the Bread Loaf.

Pleasure Parties every week to Rochester and

Granville,

Rochester, nestled amidst the mountains, upon

the White river, is a very beautifol village. Gian-

ille lies in the sweetest valley of Vermont.

Our rooms are all full this week. Next week

we shall have several that can be secured. Parties

for a single night can always he accomodated.

Trout dinners can be had, almost certaiuly, with

out notice, but better dinners may be prepared if

notice is given.

after the termination of the existence of any such

bank as aforesaid, such bank shall cease to be sub-

ject to the operation or liable to the provisions of

the sixty-third section of chapter eighty-nine of

the General Statutes.

Sec. 3. This Act shall take effect from this

passage.

1The existence of the Bank entitled, "The

Tresident, Directors a Co, of the Bank of Ver-

gennes," chartered by the Legislature of the State

of Vermont, and located in Vergennes, in said

State, was terminated, agrecably to the laws of

aid State, on the 22d day of December, 1865, and

notice is hereby given that said Bank will redeem

its outstanding bills. The following act of the

Legislature of Vermont is published by direction

of said Bank. By order of the Directors.
